Join us as we read and pray through John's Gospel

Beginning on January 20th, we'll be reading through a chapter of John's Gospel, learning more about who Jesus is, and praying for God's people and for the nation, in light of what we learn.

Join in - either by yourself or with your household - at either 7 am or 7 pm each day.

Day 1 - January 20th

John 1

"But to all who did receive him, who believed in his name, he gave the right to become children of God" - John 1:12


  • For the grace to see and know God's power at work within you "who believed."
  • For revival in your family, city, county, state, and country, so others will come to receive he gift of salvation and make Christ the Lord of their lives.

Day 2 - January 21st

John 2

"When the master of the feast tasted the water now become wine, and did not know where it came from (though the servants who had drawn the water knew), the master of the feast called the bridegroom" - John 2:9


  • For God to transform and purify you, so that you can be holy and pleasing in His sight.
  • Pray for God to bring deep and lasting spiritual transformation to our government leaders who do not yet know Him. 

Day 3 - January 22nd

John 3

"Jesus answered him, 'Truly, truly, I say to you, unless one is born again he cannot see the kingdom of God.'"  - John 3:3


  • Pray for God to breath new life into you, to revive you in fresh ways.
  • Pray for others to be born again, pray for spiritual revival in our land.

Day 4 - January 23rd

John 4

"The Samaritan woman said to him, 'How is it that you, a Jew, ask for a drink from me, a woman of Samaria?' (For Jews have no dealings with Samaritans.)" - John 4:9


  • For God to reveal to you who your neighbor is, and to fashion your heat and mind accordingly.
  • Pray for our cultural, political, racial and economic tensions to give way to godly listening, accepting, understanding, comforting, encouraging and blessing.

Day 5 - January 24th

John 5

"Jesus said to him, 'Get up, take up your bed, and walk.'" - John 5:8


  • For a fresh revelation of God's power to heal you today.
  • For the people around you who are sick; pray that COVID-19 would be eradicated; pray that God's glory would come forth.

Day 6 - January 25th

John 6

"And when they had eaten their fill, he told his disciples, 'Gather up the leftover fragments, that nothing may be lost.'" - John 6:12


  • For God's provision in your life as well as a heart of generosity towards His church and unbelievers.
  • For those who need miraculous financial or relational provision.

Day 7 - January 26th

John 7

"About the middle of the feast Jesus went up into the temple and began teaching." - John 7:14


  • That your heart would grow even softer to God's word, to hearing it, and obeying it.
  • Pray that the teachings of the Bible would be held as the ultimate standard in our schools, businesses, courts, and government.

Day 8 - January 27th

John 8

"And he who went me is with me. He has not left me alone, for I always do the things that are pleasing to him." - John 8:29


  • Thank God that He came to be with you, to show you mercy.
  • Pray that mercy and Godly values would prevail in your relationships and in our land.

Day 9 - January 28th

John 9

"... Then he anointed the man's eyes with the mud and said to him, 'God, wash in the pool of Siloam' (which mans Sent). So he went and washed and came back seeing." - John 9:6-7


  • For God's light to shine in and through you.
  • For Jesus, the Light of the world, to be received into every life, into every community, and into our national places of power and influence.

Day 10 - January 30th

John 10

"I am the good shepherd. The good shepherd lays down his life for the sheep." - John 10:11


  • Pray Psalm 23, as you thank God for His beautiful and peaceful presence and power in your life.
  • Ask God for the people who have gone astray to come back to Him. Repent on behalf of our nation, and invite Him to shepherd your loved ones as well as our land.

Day 11 - January 30th

John 11

"When he had said these things, he cried out with a loud voice, 'Lazarus, come out.' The man who had died came out, his hands and feet bound with linen strips, and his face wrapped with a cloth. Jesus said to them, 'Unbind him, and let him go.'" - John 11:43-44


  • For His resurrection power to bring back to life what has been damaged or dormant in you.
  • Pray for others who are far from God and/or dead in their sins to come alive in and through Christ.

Day 12 - January 31st

John 12

"Mary therefore look a pound of expensive ointment made from pure nard, and anointed the feet of Jesus and wiped his feet with her hair. The house was filled with the fragrance of the perfume." - John 12:3


  • Worship our Lord like Mary did, and tell Him how wonderful He is as you bow before Him in awe.
  • Tell God your honest heart's desire for Him to be first, revered, and honored in our nation.

Day 13 - February 1st

John 13

"Jesus, knowing that the Father had given all things into his hands, and that he had come from God and was going back to God, rose from supper. He laid aside his outer garments, and taking a towel, tied it around his waist. Then he poured water into a basin and began to wash the disciples' get and to wipe them with the towel that was wrapped around him." - John 13:3-5


  • Ask God to show you opportunities to serve in simple and genuine ways to the people around you.
  • Ask God to renew the right spirit in all of us, so that as a nation, we would seek to serve rather than be served, in true humility and love.

Day 14 - February 2nd

John 14

"Jesus said to him, 'I am the way, and the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.'" - John 14:6


  • Thank God for revealing who He is to you.
  • Ask God to make His Church bold and confident in proclaiming the undiluted, powerful truth of the Gospel of Jesus Christ.

Day 15 - February 3rd

John 15

"I am the true vine, and my Father is the vinedresser. Every branch in me that does not bear fruit he takes away, and every branch that does bear fruit he prunes, that it may bear more fruit." - John 15:1-2


  • Ask God for less of you and more of Him.
  • Pray for a revival of godliness and humility to refocus our conversations.

Day 16 - February 4th

John 16

"I have said these thing to you, that in me you may have peace. In the world you will have tribulation. But take heart; I have overcome the world." - John 16:33


  • Praise God that no one can change His mind, thwart His plans, or take away any of the goodness He has for you.
  • Proclaim God's greatness over personal and national worry, concern and godlessness, and thank Him for His peace and joy, given in a manner that the world can't give.

Day 17 - February 5th

John 17

"'And I am no longer in the world, but they are in the world, and I am coming to you. Holy Father, keep them in your name, which you have given me, that they may be one, even as we are one.'" - John 17:11


  • Ask God that we, His Church, may be one. Ask Hi, to highlight any personal blind spots, and let Him graciously soften and change your heart, soul and mind.
  • Pray for unity where there has been division, love where there has been strife, and understanding where there has been ignorance of indifference.

Day 18 - February 6th

John 18

"Jesus answered, 'My kingdom is not of this world. If my kingdom were of this world, my servants would have been fighting, that I might not be delivered over to the Jews. But my kingdom is not from the world.'" - John 18:36


  • That you would be strong in aligning your values and priorities with the Kingdom of God.
  • That our nation would be grounded Kingdom of God principles.

Day 19 - February 7th

John 19

"When Jesus had received the sour wine, he said, 'It is finished,' and he bowed his head and gave up his spirit." - John 19:30


  • Thank Jesus for His amazing sacrifice for you on the Cross, and refocus your scattered allegiances on Him.
  • Ask God for our nation to be open and receptive to the Gospel.

Day 20 - February 8th

John 20

"On the evening of that day, the first day of the week, the doors being locked where the disciples were for fear of the Jews, Jesus came and stood among them and said to them, 'Peace be with you.'" - John 20:19


  • That God that the peace He gives is out of this world.
  • Pray for the peace of God to invade all our hearts and minds, and keep our nation focus on Christ Jesus before all else.

Day 21 - February 9th

John 21

"(This he said to show by what kind of death [Peter] was to glorify God.) And after saying this he said to him, 'Follow me.'" - John 21:19


  • Ask God to remind you to consider who you follow, and allow the Holy Spirit to guide your steps, thoughts, and decisions every day.
  • Praise God as our forever King and perfect ruler, as you commit our nation and world to Him at this time, trusting Him to continue to accomplish His purposes.
